DIY make your own bath salts
Making your own bath salts is not complicated at all. After all, the basis for bath salts is Dead Sea salt. Dead Sea salt contains many minerals that relax your muscles and get rid of waste products. By mixing this with a few ingredients you have fine bath salts for a wonderfully relaxing bath.
The ingredients you add as you see fit, usually a few drops of oil for example is enough for a wonderful relaxing feeling.
Check out these ideas and make your own bath salts:
1. Himalayan salt for a colorful effect
I personally keep my bath salts in a glass jar. To make this look more fun I mix the Dead Sea salt with Himalayan salt. This way it looks much nicer and has a nice color.
2. Dried flowers
Want to give bath salts as a gift? Then it is nice to add dried flowers to the bath salts. This looks very nice and this is how it’s a real gift.
You can also give this as a gift to yourself. A relaxing bath with beautiful dried flowers makes for a wonderfully luxurious look. Just make sure you remove the flowers before you empty the bath of course, otherwise it will flow into the pipes.
3. Lemon
I myself also always add a few drops of lemon essential oil to the bath salts. Lemon is refreshing, stimulating and is therefore ideal for a relaxing bath. Lemon also helps when you have a flu and cold and is definitely recommended then.
4. Peppermint
Instead of lemon you can also add a few drops of peppermint to the bath salts. Peppermint has a calming effect and can relieve aching muscles. So this is a great addition to the Dead Sea salt.
5. Vanilla
Are you stressed? Maybe you are frustrated, angry or scared? Then a few drops of vanilla to the bath salts can help alleviate these feelings.
The smell of vanilla is relaxing and helps you feel happy again.
6. Green tea
Another wonderful scent to add to your bath salts is green tea. Green tea is widely used in personal care products and for good reason. For example, my day cream and cleansing lotion include green tea as an additive. The scent of tea helps reduce stress and increases your mental resistance.
So add some drops of essential oil green tea to your bath salts as a stress reliever.
7. Lavender
The last ingredient to make your own bath salts is of course lavender. Lavender is an ideal stress reliever and has a calming effect. Lavender can help balance emotions, so it is a great scent to add to bath salts for a relaxing bath.
This is how easy it is to make your own bath salts. Dead Sea salt as the main ingredient with 7 ingredients you can add of your choice. A few drops of essential oil are enough for a wonderful relaxing bath.
