The iPhone 11, 11 Pro or Pro Max

The iPhone 11, 11 Pro or Pro Max. Which one is going to be it?

Since a few years I belong to the Apple family. I have a MacBook and iPhone. Now my mobile is due for replacement and the question comes; do I go for an iPhone 11, the 11 Pro or Pro Max? What are the differences? I list the specs.

MacBook and iPhone

Years ago I needed a new laptop. My husband had bought a MacBook Pro a few years earlier and was very happy with it. The more I saw him working with it, the more enthusiastic I became. After careful consideration, I bought a MacBook Air. A MacBook is light and therefore easy to carry, easy to use and synchronizes with my iPhone. Things I value.

Not on thin ice

My phone needs replacing and let me say that I do not just buy a new iPhone. I have to save up for this for a long time, but I want one that is the best for me and that I can use for years to come.

The iPhone 11, 11 Pro or Pro Max?

Now the question is; which iPhone will I buy?? During the day I work from home and actually always type my blog texts on the laptop. Very occasionally I use my phone for this, but this is sporadic. I do use my phone for Social Media and a lot to take pictures. I always find it difficult when three new phones are introduced, because which one is right for me?? Before making a choice, I wanted to list all the options of the different phones.

The price of the iPhone

Let’s face it, the price tags on the new iPhones are hefty and vary quite a bit. When looking at a 64 GB phone, the iPhone 11 starts at $809, the iPhone 11 Pro starts at $1159 and the Pro Max is another hundred dollars more expensive.

Storage space and screen

In terms of storage space, they all start at 64 GB. The iPhone 11 can be purchased with 128 GB and 256 GB. You can buy the Pro and pro Max with 64GB, 256GB or 512GB. The more GB, the higher the price. Now going to look at the screen of the phones, this is where I see the biggest difference in them. The 11 has slightly thicker screen edges due to a 6.1-inch LCD screen that extends to the edges. The iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch OLED Display and the Pro Max 6.5-inch OLED display. Advantage of an OLED display is that it gives nicer blacks and has narrower screen edges. The brightness of the 11 Pro and Pro Max is higher than that of the 11. The screen is more readable in the sun and especially makes watching movies easier.

Colors and face ID camera

All three iPhones have a Face ID camera and a screen that fills the entire front. The back does differ. For example, the iPhone 11 has a shiny glass back, with a camera that has two lenses in it. This camera lens has a matte finish. With the iPhone 11 Pro and Max, it’s the other way around: here, the glass back has a matte finish, but the camera has a shiny coating. Also, the Pro has a triple camera lens.

In terms of colors, the iPhone 11 is the most colorful (black, white, yellow, red, purple and green) The Pro comes in silver, space gray, gold and the new midnight green.

The camera on the iPhone

The camera on this iPhone has improved. Photography in the dark is even better now with both phones. But the difference is the third lens that the Pro (Max) has compared to the 11. These are an Ultra wide-angle and telephoto lens. In practice, this means all three iPhones allow you to capture wide-open landscapes thanks to the ultra-wide-angle camera. However, if you want to zoom in on something in the distance, you’ll find that the Pro’s triple camera is noticeably better thanks to the telephoto lens. Highly recommended for lovers of portrait photography.

The Pro Max

While I was writing this article, my husband actually wanted to buy one already. I told what I discovered about the differences in the three iPhones and he decided to buy the iPhone Pro Max. He immediately bought an iPhone 11 Pro Max case with it. So that the phone was well protected when it came in. He chose the Pro Max for its camera and oled screen. He photographs a lot and also reads a lot of texts on his phone.

Which iPhone will it be?

Before I saw the Pro Max, my preference was for the iPhone 11. To be honest, that was definitely a money issue as well. However, now that I have had the opportunity to hold the Pro Max in my hands and view the images, I have changed my opinion. As a blogger I take an awful lot of pictures’s and when I look at the pictures my husband takes with the Pro Max: they are really super. The color, sharpness and clarity. My husband is super enthusiastic and said the Face ID works great and also the screen, which now covers the whole phone, you get used to quickly. The front button, don’t miss it at all. What was also positive and convenient by the way, the new iPhone took over all folders and apps from the old device so one on one. The Max is too big for me personally, but I definitely want this camera as well, so now I know I’m saving up for the iPhone 11 Pro.
