|Congratulations, God has blessed you with an image of Himself. He will also give you the graces necessary to raise your child to grow in Wisdom, Age and Grace. Since you are the primary teachers for your child we realize that you have a great responsibility, and your parish is here to help you throughout the years ahead.
We look forward with you to the reception of the Sacrament of Baptism for your child. It is the beginning of your child’s faith journey, which will be strengthen through Catholic Education and your parental guidance in teaching the prayers, setting the example of weekly Mass attendance, and instilling a love for Christ and His Church.
FOR THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM IN ADHERENCE TO CANON LAW PLEASE SELECT THE REQUIREMENTS LINK IN THE LEFT HAND COLUMN.
SELECTING THE GODPARENTS: Godparents play a very important role in your child's spiritual life and should serve as role models of the faith, and should not be the child's own parent or grandparent. The child should be able to look to their godparent as an example of how the church teaches us to live our Catholic faith. In their role, a godparent represents the larger Church community. Therefore, is not only an honor, it is a tremendous responsibility. Here is a link that may answer some of your questions: Click Here
